I want to share a blog today about something that I personally deal with.. false guilt. Lately, I have come to the realization that there are so many things in my life that I have false guilt about, and I want to break them down and share them with all of you. Hopefully this blog will help you guys as much as it helps me. So without further ado, here are seven things we have got to stop feeling guilty about!

Saying “no.”
Sometimes you have to say no just to keep your sanity. If I have had a crazy week and then I get invited out by someone, sometimes I just have to say maybe another time or no altogether. Just know that it is totally okay to say no if something is just not convenient or right for you.
Changing your mind.
Sometimes life is unpredictable. One moment you may want something, and then the next moment you may not. Whether it’s changing your mind about dinner plans or changing your mind about going out with friends or family, you should not feel guilty about do what is best for you.

Eating what you want to eat (in moderation).
Eat that piece of chocolate cake! Enjoy an extra serving of your favorite food! Go for it! As long as you try your best to keep a balanced diet, never let anyone shame you for indulging a little bit every now and then!

Having me time.
Sometimes you need to be alone. That is a fact! You may love your husband, kids, and friends, but there is something about soaking up some “me time” that is just so rejuvenating. Never apologize for needing a moment (or longer) to yourself! It may be exactly what you need.

Moving on.
This can apply to jobs, friendships, relationships, etc. If something is toxic for your life, sometimes you have to leave it behind and move on. If someone does not like your choices, that is on them. You have to do what is best for you.

Telling people how you feel.
This is one that has always been hard for me. I have always been worried about offending or hurting people, and that makes me want to keep things bottled up. That is so unhealthy for your heart and mind. Let people know what you honestly think. There are ways to tell your opinion without being rude. If it is a serious issue though, be blunt. Don’t let your own silence hurt yourself.

Things of the past that you cannot change.
If you have gotten right with God, yourself, and whoever else it may concern, let the past stay in the past. Thinking of things you cannot change will only hurt you. You can only make the best of the time you have in the present.

I really hope that this blog is helpful to all of you. If you have anything to add or any feedback, please leave me a comment below. Stay tuned for more content soon! ❤️
